Three Kings

DOWN & DIRTY:
Action/Adventure: American soldiers try to steal Kuwaiti gold from Iraqi soldiers at the end of the Gulf War.

NITTY GRITTY:
It's 1991 and the end of the Gulf War. Sergeant Troy Barlow (MARK WAHLBERG), Staff Sergeant Chief Elgin (ICE CUBE) and Private Conrad Vig (SPIKE JONZE) are upset that they haven't seen any action. They come across a smuggled map and realize it's something
important.

Special Forces Captain Archie Gates (GEORGE CLOONEY), hears about the map and finds the three soldiers. He discovers that it indicates the location of a hidden stash of Kuwaiti gold stolen by the Iraqi army.

They agree to steal the gold back from Saddam Hussein. First, they have to divert the attention of ambitious TV reporter Adriana Cruz (NORA DUNN) who's been assigned to follow Gates. They send her off on a fake story with Walter (JAMIE KENNEDY). Then they head off for what they think will be a quick and easy trip.

They find and load up the gold bars. But, the Iraqi soldiers fire gas canisters, causing their vehicles to crash. Barlow is captured by the enemy. From that point on, Gates, Elgin, Vig and try to retrieve Barlow, get some civilians to the Iranian border and keep the stash of gold from falling into the wrong hands.

THE ENDING:
In return for their help, the Americans agree to take the Iraqi refugees to the border. When they get to the border, more U.S. troops arrive and arrest Gates and his gang. They prevent the refugees from crossing the border. Gates decides to give up the gold if the refugees are allowed across. They make a deal and the refugees safely cross.

WHAT EVERYONE WILL BE TALKING ABOUT:
The scene where the camera goes inside a human body to show the destruction caused by a bullet. RUNNER-UP: The scene where Gates has to shove a big needle in Barlow's chest to re-inflate his lung.
