DIRTY:
Drama: Two rich and manipulative
step-siblings enter into a bet
regarding whether the brother can
deflower a virgin while also
helping the sister get revenge on
her former beau.
NITTY GRITTY:
Kathryn (SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR)
and Sebastian (RYAN PHILLIPPE)
are step-siblings living in a
posh Central Park mansion. The
two spend the summer before their
senior year lusting for one
another when not setting their
sights on destroying the lives of
their
unsuspecting victims.
Kathryn is upset that her
boyfriend, Court, has dumped her
for the more innocent Cecile
(SELMA BLAIR), and wants
Sebastian to deflower Cecile to
humiliate Court.
Sebastian, known for his sexual
conquests, casually agrees.
Sebastian has also set his sights
on a more lofty and difficult
challenge. Annette (REESE
WITHERSPOON), the teenage
daughter of their school's new
headmaster, has recently written
an article about how she plans to
remain a virgin until she's
married.
Sebastian bets that he can seduce
Annette before the start of their
senior year and Kathryn agrees to
the wager. If Sebastian fails,
Kathryn gets his vintage sports
car, and if he wins, he gets to
bed Kathryn.
Sebastian turns on the charm and
beds Annette. Unfortunately, for
the first time in his life, he's
fallen in love with someone.
THE ENDING:
Sebastian tells Annette what he
has done. He gives her his
journal which has all his
thoughts and escapades.
After waiting outside Annette's
house, Sebastian runs into one of
Kathryn's partners who starts a
fight. Annette runs out to try
and break up the fight. She is
knocked into the street. A
speeding taxi cab is headed right
for her. Sebastian sees the car
and pushes Annette out of the
way. He is hit by the car. As he
lies dying, he tells Annette that
he really did love her. She says
she loves him, too.
At the start of the school year,
there is a memorial service for
Sebastian. His step-sister
Kathryn is speaking at the
podium.
Suddenly, students start leaving
the chapel. She discovers that
they are reading something and
staring at her. Annette has
printed copies of Sebastian's
journal, which tells of Kathryn's
misdeeds, and given them to all
at the school.
Kathryn is ruined and kicked out
of the school. Annette drives off
in Sebastian's sports car.
